Merryhill Nudist Club, near Honingham in Norfolk was selected
from the cast of several suggested in the book "Bare Britain".
Having phone ahead as requested on the website we arrived at
lunch time and were made to feel welcome by everybody. We spent
most of the day relaxing around the heated outdooor pool and
watching the Miniten.
The clubs grounds are sheltered, unlike the
Norfolk Coast, and enjoy the sun all day. They are very well maintained
and well laid out. There are some camping /caravan pitches for
visitors along
with the mobile homes around the perimeter of the site. Despite
the fact it was a busy weekend with a big Birthday Party the night
before and a Miniten tournament being run most the
afternoon it did not feel crowded.
We had a really nice day, and would recommend
Merryhill to anyone venturing into the hills of Norfolk (yes
there are hills, and Merryhill is built on the side one of
them!). The Buns plan to go back taking lunch and some drink
with them. (There is no food service or bar on site so come with
all your catering needs.)
